Wii Remote and Personal Space

When your Wii remote is in your hand and an enemy hits you, you hear it in close proximity to you because the remote has a speaker. When your virtual hand (cursor) that is guided by your remote rolls over a button on screen, you feel a slight force-feedback pulse coming from the remote letting you know you are 'touching' something. These proximity experience cues change the context, bringing virtual interaction into your personal space. Nintendo does it again.

I really didn't keep up with all the Wii buzz, but it really caught my attention after listening to a segment on NPR. I really like how Nintendo has opted to try something new and innovative.
