Welcome, Sean!

The Mister Shape blog has been a fun way for us to stay in touch with friends and customers - to let you know about the projects in studio and also to tip you off to some cool sites and technology.

We want to post more regularly and expand our focus. We're hoping to make it more like a magazine. A lot of visitors ask us about Arizona and desert life in general, the arts scene in Tucson and Phoenix and about the products we design. As a first step toward something more substantial we've teamed up with our very first contributor, Sean Fitzpatrick.

Sean grew up in Sierra Vista and Tucson, Arizona. He periodically leaves the desert but always wanders back. Something about Tucson's wide-open sky, 100 degrees in July and the smell of creosote after a summer storm.

He, along with a gifted group of writers, programmers and designers, were the brainchild of the early online experimental magazine Dispatches which started back in 97. He's been a mentor to at-risk youth aspiring to be storytellers and photographers in Tucson. He also amuses himself by putting his spin on the Arizona Wildcats basketball team as the Web Coordinator for the UA Athletics department.

We know you'll enjoy his insights, and we look forward to reading yours as well. Welcome aboard Sean!

May Day

Well, some of our designs were a bit much to get produced. Something about ruining the edges of the shirts. Some redesign is in order and we're looking at mid-May for the spring/summer launch. Thanks to those recent orders in Burbank, Chandler, Tucson, San Francisco and Baton Rouge!
